2 Arrested After Dover Incident

(Dover, NH) - Two men are facing separate charges after their arrest by Dover Police Monday evening.

Dover Police say 32 year old Jerry Morin of Salem, Massachusetts approached a clerk at Smileys Beverage Center on Main Street just before 6 Monday evening and indicated he had a weapon. He demanded cash, but the clerk refused and asked an off-duty Dover Police officer who happened to be in the store for help.

The officer escorted Morin from the store and detained Morin and another man until uniformed officers arrived.

Morin was charged with Attempted Robbery.

The second man, 31 year old Gregory O'Brien of Dover, was not involved in the attempted hold-up, but was charged with Possession of Heroin.
