3 Dead, 2 Hospitalized After Crash In Milton

(Milton, NH) - Three people have died as a result of a 2-car accident in Milton Thursday night. Two others are hospitalized with serious injuries.NH State Police say a Jeep driven by 57 year old Victoria Rose of Revere, Massachusetts crossed the center line on Route 16 just after 8 pm and struck an oncoming Suburu head-on. Rose was dead at the scene of the crash and the second driver, 31 year old Allison Smith of Portsmouth,  died a short time later. A passenger in Smiths car, 31 year old Vanessa Cox of Boston, Massachusetts died overnight at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Two other passengers in the vehicles are hospitalized with serious injuries.  A small dog also died as a result of the crash.

State Police are still trying to determine why the Jeep drifted across the center line.
