It's almost Halloween weekend so it's time once again to look ahead at what's coming up for fun things to do. Assuming you've got candy and costumes bought, here are some other ideas of things to do around your trick or treating schedule.

1. Friday evening, the Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce holds its annual Halloween parade through downtown Portsmouth.

2. Millennium presents the only half marathon in Dover, the Cocheco Challenge, which happens on Saturday morning.

3. The Portsmouth Employees Union holds a food drive to benefit the Seacoast Food Pantry at the Portsmouth Public Works Building starting at 8 Saturday morning.

4. There's a public breakfast being served on Sunday morning at St. John's Masonic Hall in South Berwick Sunday morning at 7 am.

5. Daylight Savings Time ends Saturday night. Before you go to bed, fall back one hour. It's a good time to change the batteries in your smoke detectors too.
