What do you say to someone who's so dejected over a football game, you see it in their face? I don't know, but there's a list of things you shouldn't say to a Pats fan today.

1. Any sentence that includes  "Malcolm Butler" and "winning." Yeah...yeah, we may never get to the bottom of what went on behind closed doors, but we KNOW. It's obvious something's there. This will go down as the oddest thing if an already peculiar season.

2. "Where's the G.O.A.T. now????" 3 touchdowns and 500 yards later, Tom Brady did just fine, thank you very much. Nick Foles had a career game, and has earned every bit of the accolades he's receiving. However, his career performance is an average effort from Brady. TB12 is still the G.O.A.T.

3. "Belichick threw the game to spite Robet Kraft!" The infamous ESPN piece infuriated Patriots nation, and with good reason. Know what? There's likely some some and fire there, but if the greatest coach in franchise history decided to whiff a league's biggest game out of some weird bravado match, (kindest way I can type that) then run him out of town. Doom him back to a life coaching revolving quarterback with Cleveland. Bill didn't throw the game. There's too much on the line for one guy's agenda to completely throw it away. It's plays well with the conspiracy theorists of the world, but don't buy into it.

4. "That's what happens when they don't get all the calls!" Even if there was ANY validity to this over-worn statement of non truth, you don't bring this up today. If you see someone suddenly tumble from the passenger side of an automobile, they likely pulled this misguided card with a bruised Patriots fan.

5. "Do you think if they had Garoppolo they'd...?" (interrupts) No. Jimmy's presence would not have made a single difference. Again, Tom Brady's QB rating of 115 was stout, and more than enough to win many other years. The New England players didn't lose the game last night.
