United States Postal Service to Honor Vietnam War ‘Medal of Honor’ Recipients
Sunday marked the 50th anniversary of the start of the ground war in Vietnam, a conflict in which nearly 3 million men and women served and over 58,000 Americans died. Among all those who served, 258 were recipients of the Medal of Honor.
The United States Postal Service announced it will honoring these brave soldiers with a Limited Edition Vietnam War Medal of Honor Prestige Folio Forever stamps to be released on Memorial Day.
The ceremony will be hosted by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, and the National Park Service, will take place at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, DC. The event is free and open to the public.
