Astonishing world records have been set in New Hampshire from video game scores, to launching kayaks, to sprinting with a Yo-Yo.

Here are nine of them from Guinness World Records.

1. Most People Unwrapping a Candy at Once

Lindt Chocolate set the record in 2012 when 590 chocaholics gathered at the Stratham company's parking lot and unwrapped a chocolate truffle candy at the same time. These people must be so proud of themselves.

2. Largest Simultaneous Launch of Canoes/Kayaks

In 2014, 396 people launched their canoe and kayak simultaneously into the waters of Lake Winnipesaukee. It was a crowning moment for the New Hampshire Lakes Association, who helped organize and set the record.

3. Fasted 100m Yo-Yo Throw & Run

It only took 13.9 seconds for Taro Yamashita to complete 100 meters while Yo-Yo-ing. The Massachusetts native set the record way back in 1996 at the Yolympics in Portsmouth. I need a 'Where Are They Now' feature on this guy.

4. Most Lit Jack-O-Lanterns

Apparently Keene is like the Usain Bolt of most lit jack-o-lanterns. They have beaten their own record eight times! That has to be a record in itself. Currently, the record of most lit jack-o-lanterns on display is 30,581 and it happened in 2013, long before all the pumpkin festival craziness boiled over.

5. Most Expensive Collection of Coins Sold at Auction

This one is a little bit cheating if you ask me. The total amount for the coins reached $44,900,000 but it was spread out over three different auctions. One in 1982, 1996, and 1997. It all went down at the famed Bowers and Merena Galleries in Wolfeboro.

6. Youngest Driver to Win Nascar Race

When 19-year-old NASCAR driver Joey Logano took the checkered flag at the Lenox 301 at Loudon's New Hampshire Motor Speedway in 2009 he became the youngest driver to ever win. Once again reminding everyone that driving a car fast in circles takes no discernible skill.

7. Tallest Bloom

A Titan Arum flower, otherwise known as the corpse flower, from Winnipesaukee Orchids holds the record as the world's tallest bloom at 10 feet 2.25 inches tall. The record was set in 2010 and the flower was grown by a dude named Louis Ricciardiello. Can't make this stuff up.

8. Most Lines Cleared in Tetris

Harry Hong set the record for most lines cleared in Tetris at Funspot at Weirs Beach in September of 2007 clearing 4,988 lines. This was one of those "where were you when" moments for sure.

9. Highest Winning Margin in a Game of NBA Jam: Tournament Edition

The margin of victory for the record holder, Kelly Flewin of Canada, was 13 measly points. For some reason I don't find that to be awe-inspiring. It happened at the arcade mecca (Funspot) in 2007 and is currently under dispute by a Facebook commenter. (See below)
