(Claremont, NH) - Julie Baker of Claremont says her business, "Pampered Poultry" sells thousands of items of clothing to chicken-lovers around the world.

Baker says the business started in 2010 as a marketing lesson as she home-schooled her daughter, who raised and showed chickens at fairs around the state.

The diapers were a practical way to keep the house tidy when the pets were inside. Other poultry-raisers loved the idea, and sales started to increase.  The internet helped push those sales to the point that Baker has established a sewing cooperative in the Dominican Republic, where she employs a number of women at a livable wage to produce the clothing line.

Over the years, the products offered have expanded to dresses, tutu's and, yes, even Halloween costumes.
