A Staggering Amount of Cars Expected on the Roadways This Weekend

As they say in the traffic business, pack your patience if you're hitting the road this July 4th weekend.

The American Automobile Association (Triple A), predicts close to 43 million Americans will be going somewhere this holiday weekend. That's approximately, 500,000 more commuters than last year.

Prices at the pump are some of the lowest for an Independence Day weekend since 2005.

Triple A defines the holiday weekend (for travelling) between Thursday and Monday, with the highest travel times predicted to be Friday and Monday afternoons. AAA says the best times to leave on your drive will be in the mornings.
