Maine State Police arrested 25 year old Dustin Carpenter and 27 year old Gina Glidden after a two-month investigation of meth manufacturing by the pair, who had been purchasing items essential to the manufacturing process.

Officials say the two were living in a basement apartment at the Crystal Lake Road  home of Glidden's grandmother.

Carpenter is charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Methamphetamine due to a prior conviction on a similar charge in Alabama.

Glidden was also charged with Violation of Conditional Release, because she was on bail on a heroin possession charge.

This is the 21st meth lab related incident in Maine this year.
