Barley Pub Closes

I hate when a favorite place closes, and so it goes with the Barley Pub in Dover. The beer selection was phenomenal, the duck sandwich delicious, and the atmosphere (and staff) just generally welcoming. They hadn't been at their current location for all that long, but I remember how excited I was when it moved in. For two reasons really-- first, I love that location. I liked hanging out there way back when it was Baldface Books some years ago. And two, the previous two restaurants drew a horrible element to town (talking post Crescent City here). At the time I lived just a quarter mile away, and what a welcome change. Best wishes to all the employees and here's to hoping an entrepreneur can bring new life to this corner of Dover.
