It's one of those heartwarming stories that seem to brighten the holiday season, because it happened in our own backyard and makes you see the good in people.

Someone has decided to return an American flag that went missing during our bicentennial year in 1976. According to Fox News and WMUR-TV, the flag was recently returned to The Manchester Historic Association.

Hopefully, this inspires others to do good and look for ways to right past wrongs. There is no better time of year to do so, and let's not forget our service men and women who are away from their families during the holidays.
