BREAKING: Bernie Sanders Endorses Hillary Clinton at Portsmouth Rally

Hillary Clinton now has Bernie Sanders behind her when she goes up against Donald Trump later this year.

Bernie Sanders put up quite a fight for the Democratic nomination, but it looks like he is giving Hillary the win.

Sanders gave his endorsement for presidential candidate Hillary Clinton at Portsmouth High School in Portsmouth, NH Tuesday morning after a contentious battle for the nomination.

Bernie and Hillary took the stage together during the endorsement. He started off thanking the millions of people who voted for him during the primaries and the people who volunteered during his campaign.

"Together we have begun a political revolution to transform America and that revolution continues. Together we will continue to fight for a government which represents all of us and not just the one percent."

Sanders conceded the nomination to Clinton and said he would do everything he could to make certain she would be the next president of the United States.

New Hampshire Governor Maggie Hassan was very enthusiastic about having the two candidates come together for the Democratic team.

"We are all here today to send a powerful message that our party is united and strong," said Hassan. "The stakes could not be higher."

Senator Jeanne Shaheen cheered the unity of the Democratic party and called out the opposing nominee.

"To unite America we need to tune out the voices of hate and division. Sadly, the loudest such voice is that of the Republican nominee, Donald Trump," she said. "He is particularly unfit to grapple the challenges we face."

Part of the audience started chanting "Bernie! Bernie! Bernie!" during Shaheen's speech, which prompted the senator to chant "Hillary! Hillary! Hillary!" to shift focus to the Democratic nominee.

"We need Bernie, we need Hillary, we need each other."

Many media outlets had already called Hillary's win for the nomination weeks ago, but Sanders and his supporters continued to fight to secure it. The Vermont senator took a big win in New Hampshire in the primary earlier this year with a historic number of votes, but could not carry that momentum to other states.
