Breaking Up with Butter Crunch is so Hard to do. My Favorite Ice Cream Stand is Dumping Me for Old Man Winter

My favorite place for ice cream is dumping me. Well, technically, it's more like a separation. Kimball Farms will be closing for the season on Monday, October 13th. I think ice cream stands as good as Kimball's need to stay open year-round.Come on' we're tough, hearty folks 'round here, we can handle a little bit of ice cream on a crisp fall day. If you're chilly, wear a sweater. 

Those of us who have been going to the Westford, Massachusetts location since childhood know this place simply as 'Kimball's.' However, their actual name is "Kimball Farm."  They have three Massachusetts locations and one in Jaffrey, New Hampshire. Gotta be honest with you, I've only been and will only go to the Westford, Mass location. I don't have anything against the other locations, but I feel at home at the original.

So, when you're out and about leaf peeping this Columbus Day weekend stop by any of the Kimball Farm ice cream stands and try one of their cones or cups. (I suggest Butter Crunch) You'll be going back when they reopen after winter! I'm sure you have your own favorite place to grab an ice cream. Tell me, and maybe when Spring rolls around I can go on an ice cream safari!
