COAST bus service is being suspended in because there aren't enough bus drivers. WMUR reports COAST is suspending the 5:28, Route 2 departure from Market Square in Portsmouth because it doesn't have enough drivers.

COAST Executive Director Rad Nichols, told WMUR they need five new drivers to reinstate service. But according to Nichols, there's a shortage of qualified drivers both in New Hampshire and nationwide.

These cuts may not be the last. If more drivers leave and aren't replaced, WMUR claims there could be more service suspensions. Right now COAST users in Portsmouth, Newington, Dover, Somersworth, and Rochester will be affected.

If you're a bus driver looking for work, drivers can start at $16.30 an hour and they get benefits. To learn more, visit their website.
