Yarmouth, Massachusetts K-9 police officer, Sean Gannon was shot yesterday while serving a warrant. Gannon, 32-years-old died as a result. His K-9 partner, Nero was also shot and was to undergo surgery.

A report in the Boston Herald says Gannon was shot in the head and his K-9, Nero was wounded by a suspect who was hiding in the attic of a home in Marstons Mills.

Gannon was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis where he was pronounced dead.
