Catch Your Very Own Lobster This Summer At Hampton Beach, NH

Memorial Day Weekend is almost here. Sure a backyard BBQ with friends and family sounds like a great time. There's nothing wrong with burgers, hot dogs, or even some grilled chicken. But if you want to take things to the next level...serve up some fresh lobster.

Oh sure you can go to the store and get a lobster. But wouldn't it taste that much better if you caught it yourself. And I don't mean sticking your hand in the tank and pulling it out in the seafood department. I mean going out on a boat and trapping it!

I just discovered this place I want to take my youngest son, Nick, when he visits this summer. I may even take my dad when he comes up for a few days. It's called Sunrise Adventure Charters and Lobster Tours. They're right on Ocean Blvd. in Hampton Beach.

Their website says they do 90 minute lobster tours every day. You'll find out what it's like to work on a real working lobster boat. You can pull pots, measure and band lobsters and reset the traps. And at the end of the tour...you'll take home a lobster you helped catch. But don't worry it isn't all hard work and no fun. You'll get up close and personal with lobsters, crabs, starfish and other sea creatures.

If fishing is more your thing...they have half day or full day inshore charters to reel in stripers and blues.. And they provide all the tackle, bait, and licenses.
