Charges Filed After Rochester Accident

(Rochester, NH) - A Rochester man faces a number of charges after a two-car accident Thursday night around 6.

19 year old Stephen Mercier was arrested after the accident on Eastern Avenue. Police say he was trying to pass another vehicle on the right, but struck that car, causing Merciers car to flip.

He was not injured and left the scene. Police found him a short time later and charged him with D.W.I., Conduct After An Accident, Illegal Possession of Alcohol, Operating Without a Valid License, and Unauthorized Use Of a Propelled Motor Vehicle.

The second driver, 21 year old Justin Beckey of Rochester, was not injured.
