Devastating Loss at Massachusetts Animal Shelter

A fire broke out at a Massachusetts animal shelter over the weekend, killing numerous cats and dogs. Find out how you can help.

The blaze broke out in Paxton, Mass at the Sweetpea Friends of Rutland Animals around 11pm. Officials say most or all of the cats and all but 5 dogs perished in the fire.

The building was fully involved in flames by the time fire crews arrived.The building has been deemed a total loss by fire officials.
