There is a viral video making the rounds this week called "Devil Baby". It's one of the new breed of pranks designed to shock and scare people on the street. Although watching people get scared can be fun, I can't help but wonder when a victim of one of these pranks will literally be scared to death! Watch the video, and see for yourself.

You may have seen another prank video last year set in a coffee shop where things started moving and flying around when a patron got angry. This was timed to coincide with the release of the latest "Carrie" movie. The "Devil Baby", also made for promotional purposes, is an attempt at generating buzz for the movie "Devil's Due".

Long time listeners know that I believe the coolest super-hero of all is Batman. No super powers, no magical rings, hammers or other hero accessories.  Just a guy and a really cool car.  Given enough time, training and funding any one of us could be Batman. At least we'd like to think so. While the creepiest Joker of all had to be Heath Ledger in his final role in 2008's "The Dark Knight", you have to admit that Jack Nicholson did an admirable job of being disturbing in the 1989 "Batman" movie.  In that one, the Joker was explaining his antics to another character in the film.  As the Joker, Nicholson said "I make art until someone dies."  That's my point about this rash of videos shocking people on the street. It's just a matter of time before somebody creates such a marvelous illusion that an innocent bystander clutches their chest and keels over.  I believe the lawyer term for the subsequent lawsuits would be "delightful".  Anybody want to start a death pool?
