Donors Wanted to Help Save Historic Space Suit

Pardon me while I get my geek on, but today marks an anniversary for our country that I had totally forgotten about.

It was on this day, July 20th, in 1969 when the historic moon landing took place. That makes it 46 years since Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon. And according to Fox News there  is a movement underway to save the space suit that he wore on the moon. The suit is apparently beginning to wear out with age.

Go figure, something that withstood the dangers of space is now just getting old. A Kickstarter campaign has been set up for people wishing to donate to the cause. The crowdfunding is being spearheaded by the Smithsonian Museum.
