"Wil Boc has been good for the City of Dover."  I had used that quote from a Fosters Daily Democrat editorial one January evening in 2002 as I introduced the former Mayor as he prepared to deliver his exaugural address, ending two terms as Dovers first popularly-elected Mayor.

Prior to that, he had served on the City Council and the Dover School Board. Since then, he has served on the NH State School Board and the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Board of Trustees.

This past weekend, the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce honored Boc as the 2014 "Citizen of the Year", not only for his elected service, but for the many behind the scenes acts of charity and caring that have become the mark of Wil Boc.

I had the great honor of taking part in the Chamber event and witnessed  the high esteem for Boc from the business community, the city and residents that make up Dover.  Wil Boc has been ... and continues to be good for the City of Dover.  He is a role model we would all do well to follow.
