(Dover,N.H.) - A Dover man who fell through the ice of the Cocheco River yesterday afternoon was saved by a 911 call from senior citizens who saw him break through the ice from their window. A call from the seniors living at Waldron Towers led police to the man who was submerged up to his neck in the icy water. The unidentified man was pulled to safety by using a rope which he secured to his body. Rescuers dragged him safely to shore and he was taken to the hospital were officials said he was hypothermic but in stable condition.
