Dover Police Station Proposal Delayed; Charities Receive Speedway Donations [NEWS]

(Dover,NH) – The Dover City Council has tabled a proposal to build a new parking garage and police station.  The 5-1 vote to table the measure came after a number of citizens raised concerns about the costs and location of the proposed facility in theOrchard Streetparking lot.  Last nights meeting was the last for 3 council members who lost their re-election bids.

The new council will be sworn in on January 6^th.

(Louden, NH) – Officials from NH Motor Speedway today will distribute nearly a quarter-million dollars to local charities.  The Speedway Children’s Charities will hand out checks totaling $243-thousand dollars to 56 organizations , benefitting 103-thousand children in need in NH,Maine,Massachusetts,VermontandConnecticut.
