Down To The Wire

As 2013 draws to a close we're seeing a last minute flurry of applications for the 2014 Year of Service partnership.  If you work with a non-profit group, you still have time to apply, but just barely.

2014 will be the 27th annual Year of Service Award and we're proud to have continued this community service through multiple years and multiple owners of our radio stations.  This was the brain-child of my boss Marty Lessard and it has been a boon to so many worthy causes.  Simply put, any non-profit group (one that has a tax exempt number from the IRS) can apply.  The application is here. By mid-February we will choose the 2014 winners.  There is one overall winner, usually a group that serves the entire state, and that group will receive $100,000.00 worth of publicity on WOKQ 97.5, WPKQ 103.7 and our sister stations on the Seacoast The Shark at 102.1 and 105.3.  As they say on late night TV... "But wait! There's more!"  Three other groups will be chosen for smaller but still valuable campaigns to air individually on WOKQ, WPKQ and The Shark.  The application can be e mailed and so long as we receive yours before the ball drops in Times Square, your organization will be in the running.  Good Luck!
