Downtown Portsmouth Road Projects Set

(Portsmouth) -Downtown Portsmouth traffic will be impacted by several projects slated to begin Monday

Penhallow Street between Daniel and Bow will be closed to traffic from 7 am to 5 pm from today through the 19^th.  The city’s public works department will be milling, paving and striping that section.  Also, the DPW will be working on nearby Sheafe and Chapel Streets, replacing water and sewer mains, creating storm drainage, road paving and sidewalk rebuilding.  There will be no parking on those streets 7 am to 5 pm Monday through Thursday, and until 2 pm Fridays until the project is finished in October.
