Authorities had to rescue over 60 animals from a pet spa in Ossipee, New Hampshire after discovering the dogs and cats were malnourished, dehydrated and in overall poor health because of deplorable conditions.

WMUR reported that police and Animal Rescue League workers found 55 dogs in crates at the Sweet Paws Spa and and Inn. Ossippe Police Sgt, Robert King said the breeds ranged in sizes from puppies to a full grown St. Bernard. In some cases, there were up to 5 dogs per crate.

Several dogs were being boarded at the facility were returned to their owners. The other animals were taken to three area rescues where they'll be treated.

Ossipee police said the owners of the kennel refused to comment on the conditions at the facility.

On a bright note, the NH Humane Society took in 22 of the animals and are having great success in nursing those who cannot speak for themselves back to health. Here's how you can help with donations.
