There are only seven places in the United States that have a state border running directly through it, allowing patrons the opportunity to drink a beer in two states at the same time, and one of them is in New Hampshire AND Vermont.

Add this one to the bucket list! You are not dreaming. You can actually get a cold one in New Hampshire, and then walk three feet and enjoy one in Vermont. The place is called Whetstone Station Restaurant and Brewery, and for tax purposes, it's located in Brattleboro, VT.

The restaurant sits on the edge of the Connecticut River, the famous dividing line between the Granite State and Vermont. The restaurant's website does a nice job of explaining the history. Take a look at the Google Maps picture below...

The dotted line represents the state border and it runs right through the restaurant!

As for the rest of the country, Thrillist.com has a nice run down of the six other places where you can drink in two states at the same time. If you're a real geography nerd, add all seven of these to your bucket list.
