Durham Family Auditions for TV’s “Shark Tank”

A local family is getting the chance to sit in front of the power brokers on ABC-TV's Shark Tank and I wish them great success because I want what they're selling.

The Young family of Durham took part in the show's local casting call last month in Portland Maine. They have designed extremely rugged earbud type headphones after family members kept breaking their usual sets of earbuds. We can definitely relate to this here in Studio Big where are are breaking our own headphones all the time.

According to Fosters.com, Thomas Young is the father and a UNH electrical engineer. He came up with heavy duty aluminum ear buds and they took them out to the casting call to try and get onto the show. They have yet to hear if they will be called  back for one of the episodes.
