Over the next few weeks, you may entertain houseguests. While some will be anticipated more than others, (on the inside) there is one unwanted houseguest invading more homes in the Granite State this year than others.

Mice.

According to WMTW News 8, Pest control experts say there is an abundance of mice this year. However, coupled with a shortage of food, more mice are looking for a warm place to stay as winter approaches. They also note a bumper crop of acorns last year lead to an increase in the mice population. Integrated Pest Management Specialist Griffin Dill told WMTW the rodents are "expanding their foraging habits and looking to get into homes and other shelters to take shelter for the winter."

Dill suggests the best way to prevent mice from entering your home is to fill spaces where mice might typically squeeze through. This is a great idea in general as you attempt to keep your home warm this winter.
