I'm sorry but I don't get it.

Am I the only one who saw this and thought "huh?"

Boston.com has reported that there will be a screening of "Ferris Bueller’s Day Off" at Fenway Park on the night of June 29th.

So what's the connection you ask?

The Sox organization says they want to recognize the 30th anniversary of the Red Sox dominating the AL East, during which time "Ferris Bueller’s Day Off" was one of the top movies in theaters.

The Sox were able to hold first place for all 30 days of the month of June 1986 and ironically the Red Sox are currently (near) the top of the AL East.

But let's be honest with ourselves- do any Sox fans really look back at 1986 with sheer joy? Let's face it, until 2004 we all just though of Bill Buckner..........

Don't get me wrong, I'm a HUGE fan of both the Red Sox as well as "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" (for that matter pretty much any John Hughes flick.)

But the whole thing seems like kind of stretch, no?

As for more relative films to screen, April 2019 will be the 30th anniversary of "Field of Dreams" which depicts several scenes shot in and around Fenway Park.

Now THAT would be a good film to watch at Fenway!

Nevertheless, if you're interested in going you can get tickets HERE.
