( Brunswick, Maine ) - A Navy fighter jet flying into the Brunswick Naval Air Station to promote the Great State of Maine Air Show slid off the  end of the runway this morning after hitting black ice.

The F/A-18 Hornet, that’s part of the Navy’s Blue Angels flight demonstration team, spun around and ended up in the grass where the pilot, Marine Captain Jeff Kuss, had to kill the jet engines and wait to be towed. Both he and his passenger where not hurt.
