If you planned on buying an iPhone 6s in New Hampshire on Friday, don't bother. You won't be allowed to.

Apple has banned walk-in purchases of the iPhone 6s in states without a sales tax. This includes New Hampshire, Delaware, Oregon, Alaska and Montana.

If you already made a reservation to buy one, you're all set. Otherwise you'll have to wait until Saturday at 8am to make a reservation.

Online shopping or crossing over state lines, thus taking the sales tax hit, are your two options. The reasoning is vague but has something to do with trying to prevent unwieldy lines and resale of the phones.

If you're an out of stater who planned on coming here on Friday, you can still come for the fireworks and cheap booze. Maybe get a tattoo while you're at it? And hey, no reservation required!
