First Night in New England

For those willing to brave the elements, all kinds of entertainment options await!

First Night in Portsmouth features ice sculptures, face painting, live music, dancing and fireworks-- be warned though, the fireworks are at 7:30. For more info, visit the Pro Portsmouth First Night site.

In the Lakes Region, Wolfeboro continues their First Night tradition as well. Check out the indoor and outdoor skating options, ice sculptures, a magician, and a huge slate of live music options (including my buddy Gary Sredzienski). Fireworks are a touch later in Wolfboro with an 8pm start over Wolfeboro Bay. The Wolfeboro Chamber of Commerce has the First Night details.

And of course, the original First Night in Boston is but a short train ride away. However you choose to celebrate, make it a safe and happy start to 2014!
