Five Things You Didn’t Know About James Otto

James Otto is our headliner performer for Boots N' Bulls tomorrow afternoon at Lee USA Speedway!  Here's five things you may have not known about James...........

1) He is from Washington State

While most country artists hail from the southern states, James was born in Washington State at Fort Lewis Army Base.  After moving around several times, the Otto family settled down in Benton County, WA.  James graduated from Kiona-Benton High School.

2) He is a Veteran

Before moving to Nashville in 1998, James Otto served two years in the U.S. Navy.

3) He is happily married with a daughter (sorry ladies)

James wed Amy Alderson in the fall of 2005. They welcomed daughter Ava Katherine on August 24, 2010.

4) His first instruments were the saxophone and violin

Although James is known for his work on the guitar, he started his musical interests early in life singing as early as age two and later moving to sax and fiddle.  He got his first guitar at age 13.

5) His Biggest Hit Was 2007's 'Just Got Started Lovin You'

The song was produced by John Rich (of Big & Rich fame.)  It spent two weeks at the #1 spots on the Country Billboard charts in May of 2008.
