Florida Georgia Line’s “Sippin’ on Fire” will make fans who miss the duo’s in-your-face sound happy. The mid-tempo love song comes with Joey Moi’s signature production and Tyler Hubbard’s signature vocals.

One doesn’t realize it’s a story about a guy who's trying to hook up with an ex — if maybe only for a night — until the second verse. Images of fire, ice and whiskey fill the first verse before the thick chorus begins:

Why should we go round and round the truth like we been doin' / Every time we lie, girl we're losing / So why should we spend Saturday night alone when I can call you on the phone, / Pick you up, make it up as we go along / Pull and all-nighter chasing that desire / Sparks flying in her eyes like lighters / Get a little higher / Sippin' on fire.”

After pushing the edges of their sound with “Dirt” and “Sun Daze,” Hubbard, Brian Kelley and Moi return home with “Sippin’ on Fire,” the third single from Anything Goes. It’s a song that could have found its way on to Here’s to the Good Times.

“You act like you don't know what you're missing / Every time you end up back with him / 'Cause it's safe, and you're scared / Of everything you're feeling when / We're burning the midnight down again.”

Look for the song to fit neatly into the duo’s Anything Goes Tour, which is scheduled through October.

Why Fans Will Love It: "Sippin' on Fire" recalls fan-favorite songs from FGL's debut album.

Key Lyrics: "Pull and all-nighter chasing that desire / Sparks flying in her eyes like lighters / Get a little higher / Sippin' on fire."

Did You Know?: Rodney Clawson wrote this song with relative newcomers Matt Dragstrem and Cole Taylor. It's the first single for those two.
