Flu Death Confirmed In New Hampshire

(Concord, NH) - New Hampshire Health officials have confirmed a flu-related death in an adult in Hillsborough County.

Public Health Director Dr. Jose Montero says the state does not normally track flu deaths, except in children. There have been no flu-related fatalities in children this season.

Maine officials say there have been no flu-related deaths this season, but the number of confirmed flu cases has risen to the highest level in 5 years. There have been 682 positive flu tests in Maine this season, 230 last week alone.
