Former Portsmouth Police Chief David "Lou" Ferland wrote a book and he's not making a dime off it.  'Lou' as he's known to many retired from the police force in 2012.  He is now a professor at Mount Washington College and has written a book on the history of Portsmouth, New Hampshire.  'Lou' is not making any money from this book.  The proceeds are going directly to the Portsmouth Police Explorers.  Click here if you would like more information on the book.

Laconia police say an 82-year-old man in a wheelchair has died after he was struck by minivan. Police say John Giuffrida was crossing the street in his motorized wheelchair on Saturday when he was struck by the minivan. The crash remains under investigation.

South Carolina Governor, Nikki Haley or her people apparently didn't realize Twitter only allows you 140 characters.  She wanted to tweet her followers the following message: "South Carolina made history this year by passing education reform.  We will no longer educate children based on where they are born." Unfortunately for Governor Haley, her tweet read: "South Carolina made history this year by passing education reform.  We will no longer educate children.  The tweet has since been edited.
