Gerber Recalls Two Baby Food Products Due to Possible Spoilage

Parents be on alert: Gerber has recalled two of their baby food products due to possible spoilage.

Gerber is voluntarily recalling some of their GERBER ORGANIC 2ND FOODS.

The following is from a letter posted on Gerber's website from their CEO:

'Like you, we place the health and well-being of your baby above all else, and all our baby foods must meet our rigorous quality standards. As a result of a packaging defect, some of the packaging used in two batches of GERBER^® Organic 2ND FOODS^® Pouches – Pears, Carrots & Peas and two batches of GERBER^® Organic 2ND FOODS^® Pouches –Carrots, Apples & Mangoes with best by dates of July 12, 2016, July 13, 2016, July 14, 2016, may be susceptible to spoilage during transport and handling. As a result you may notice that, in some cases, those pouches are bloated or product inside may have an off taste or odor. We are proactively working to retrieve all remaining pouches of the affected batches that fail to meet our quality standards.'
