Getting Around Portsmouth’s Road Closures During School Vacation Week

If you're planning on traveling into downtown Portsmouth during school vacation, be aware of some scheduled road closures.

The Portsmouth Department of Public Works says beginning today, closures will involve the South Street, Miller Avenue and Sagamore Avenue intersection. The closure is scheduled to be an all day event from Monday, April 27 – Friday, May 1^st., 

Also of note, crews be out from Portwalk Place to the Vaughan Mall on today to begin work on a new crosswalk. Expect delays in and around that area of downtown for approximately the next three weeks, or until work is completed.

Don't be surprised if any of the above work causes traffic delays. You may want to give yourself a few extra minutes if Portsmouth is in your plans.
