One of Exeter's annual events commemorating the town's participation in the Revolutionary War happens this Saturday July 18th.

The 25th American Independence Festival celebrates Exeter's role as the state capitol, according to Seacoast Online. The day features re-enactments of battles that took place as part of the effort for American independence. You can also see demonstrations of what it was like to live at home in those times.

Admission is free for kids under 12 and for active duty and retired members of the military. There is complete information on the event available online at www.independence.org.
