I’ll Let You Watch the Grammies for Me

Why bother watching a four hour awards shows when someone else will watch it for you? I should preface this by saying I really don't care for awards shows. I'll watch a bit of the Oscars, but beyond that my interest goes off a cliff. Yay, a bunch of self-congratulatory musicians and/or actors patting themselves on the back over and over. No thank you. That said, there are some fun things that happen at these events, like this guy wearing the Harry Potter sorting hat or Taylor Swift hammering at the piano. Here's the thing, though-- technology doesn't require me to sit through terrible speeches and trite jokes to get the good stuff. We have facebook, twitter, youtube and, erm, WOKQ.com at the ready to trim away the fat and give us the prime cuts. I can get all the worthwhile bits in a span of ten minutes. Why watch?!
