Great Bay Community College Celebrates 70th Anniversary

(Portsmouth, NH) - Governor Maggie Hassan will be among the dignitaries taking part in a celebration today commemorating Great Bay Community Colleges' 70 years of student success.As part of the celebration, a ceremonial  ribbon cutting will be held to unveil the recenly-opened Student Success Center at the Portsmouth campus.

 The College will also announce the first inductees into the Great Bay Community College Hall of Fame.  The individual and partner inductees were each selected for the pivotal role they played in the establishment of the College, its evolution and advancement of mission over the past 70 years.

Following the event, GBCC’s new men’s basketball team, the Herons, will play their first home game in the new gym vs. Northern Essex Community College at  7:30 PM.
