(Concord, NH) - A New Hampshire woman with late-stage lung cancer is going to court in hopes of getting a medical marijuana identification card before the states dispensaries open.

Linda Horan is seeking a court order granting her a card now so she can obtain marijuana in Maine, which serves patients who have registry cards in their home states.

Four dispensaries won't open in New Hampshire until early next year. Horan filed suit against the state's health and human services commissioner earlier this month, claiming nothing in the medical marijuana law passed more than two years ago mandates
that cards be withheld until the dispensaries are up and running.

Horan, a retired telephone company worker and longtime labor activist, was diagnosed in July.

A hearing has been set for 10 this morning in Merrimack County Superior Court.
