We made it through the storm and now another bitter blast is on the way. Before things freeze up again, take a shovel and clear out the fire hydrant closest to your house. It will help your friendly neighborhood fire department do their job should there be an emergency situation. At my house in Rochester, the hydrant across the street is snow covered so that's on my list of things to get to when I get home. This is a hydrant in Dover that is on my way to Studio Big. Once again, shovel out and be safe! By the way, kudos to the Rochester Police and Fire Departments for their great work downtown on Friday evening. I had stopped into Fat Tony's (which is a great place, try $5 martini night since 2K is suggesting fun places to hang) before the situation arose there. I'm glad everything was safe and no one was hurt.
