I feel a little like Nancy Drew, trying to solve the case of the giant stuffed animal in Dover.

If you were driving around Rutland Street downtown a few days ago, you may have seen this giant stuffed animal by the side of the road:

At first, I thought it was someone dressed up in a costume, just hanging out to bring a smile to the face of drivers going by.  It turns out that's not the case.

Marie Walsh Duncan of Dover tells me she saw the same stuffed animal a couple of days later on Garrison.

So it turns out that someone is going around moving the oversized stuffed animal from street to street.

Marie stopped by to take a picture with her kiddos and it's pretty adorable:

Definitely something to put a big smile on the kids' faces as you're driving by. Heck, I'm an adult and it makes me smile too. It's nice to think that in this really disappointing year, people are thinking of ways to spread cheer.

So, if you're driving around Dover at any point this weekend, be on the lookout for the giant stuffed animal to see where it's going to turn up next.

And if anyone knows, who is behind this mystery, please let us know.  I'm definitely intrigued and would love to talk to them.

In the meantime, Happy Halloween!
