Helping Those in Need to Honor ‘One Boston Day’

This Friday is 'One Boston Day.' The day, set aside to honor the resiliency and strength of the city that will always be my favorite. The city I call home. Boston. Boston Strong!

The third anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings is Friday, April 15th. To honor those lives lost and forever changed, 'One Boston Day' was formed.

A day where individuals, groups, companies, etc do something for their neighbor. A day to remember we're all in this together.

This year, John Hancock, a Boston Marathon sponsor has come up with a great idea. They want your used sneakers. Simple enough, right? They are holding a donation drive to help the homeless of the St. Francis House.

Did you know one of the items most asked for from homeless men and women are sneakers? The collection time is 11a-2pm THIS FRIDAY (April 15) in Boston at Exeter and Boylston Streets in the Back Bay.

The Boston Marathon will take place this coming Monday, April 18th. Good luck to all the runners!
