Historic Home in Manchester Torn Down For Parking Lot
Efforts to save the two and a half story home that was built in 1850 were unsuccessful.
The home, which had owned by a bank and vacant for years was demolished to make way for a parking lot, according to WMUR.
The wood-framed dwelling, that was on the New Hampshire Preservation Alliance's 'Seven to Save' list, was constructed in 1850 for Amoskeag machinist, Alpheus Burgess.
