Don't feel bad, all my grandparents are from Ireland and I still failed pretty spectacularly on most of these. Tadgh, Róisín, Saoirse and Eoghan? Yeah, good luck.

Traditional Irish names just aren't seen around here (and I'd wager the vast majority of Americans don't even know the Irish have their own, albeit little used, language). Many of these have only recently seen a rise in popularity, explaining why they weren't brought over during previous periods of mass Irish immigration to the States.

Don't worry, nobody can take away heritage bragging rights for tripping over these!
