Police in the small community of Boxford, Massachusetts are looking for the suspects in a somewhat strange case of vandalism.

Officials say hundreds of golf balls have been left at a local recreation area. According to Wicked Local North of Boston, the culprits have been leaving golf balls on fields and parking lots at Boxford Commons over the past two weekends.

James Riter, the Boxford Police Chief says not only is it a nuisance, but it's also a safety issue to those who use the area for recreational purposes. Authorities say they are currently processing pieces of evidence for fingerprints.

Officials say cameras are now being installed in hopes to get a recording of the suspect(s). Chief Riter says 'We don’t want to have to bring those charges to court. We just want it to stop.'
