Hurricane Arthur, the first named storm of the 2014 season is already causing some headaches for some New Hampshire cities.Due to the potential threat of bad weather, both Manchester and Portsmouth have decided to postpone their fireworks displays until Saturday evening.  Here's the most updated list for you.  Also of note, the Boston Pops have moved their July 4th celebration to this evening.  Which means, there will be some road closures that might make travel into and out of Boston this afternoon a bit tricky.  Most importantly, Storrow   Drive shuts down at noontime today.

Pops Perform Tonight 
The annual Boston Pops Fourth of July concert and fireworks have been moved up to today because of potential heavy rain from Hurricane Arthur. The concert takes place in the Hatch Shell along the Charles River Esplanade.

Flash Flood Watch Is Up 
Parts of New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine are under a flash flood watch for thunderstorms that forecasters say at times could drop locally heavy rains. Storms yesterday caused some power outages with utilities this morning saying roughly 800 homes and businesses in the state remain without power.

Maine Man Acquitted Of Assault Charges
A Maine man who bit off the portion of another man's ear during a fight has been has been acquitted of assault charges. A Kennebec County Superior Court jury on Wednesday cleared Dylan Nathaniel Hendsbee of charges connected to the fight in April 2013 in which a third man suffered a fractured jaw.

Joke du Jour

A drummer who was tired of ridiculed by his peers, decided to learn how to play some 'real' musical instruments.  He told the music store clerk that he wanted the red trumpet and the accordion.  The clerk said, "fine, you can have the fire extinguisher, but the radiator has to stay."
